Out-of-State Candidates
The process for firefighters outside the State of Georgia begins with filling out the form below. Your information will be kept on file. Approximately 90 days before the start of the next class, you should receive an email with instructions on further steps to enroll in the class.
The cost of the class is generally around $1,175, which includes tuition, lodging and meals during class hours. Most of your other questions can be answered by looking at our website; for example the Qualification Test and the FAQ.
All out-of-state candidates must successfully complete the Qualification Test. For your convenience you will be given the option of completing the Qualification Test on the Saturday before the class starts. This prevents you from having to travel to Georgia for the scheduled Qualification Day.
